National Service Scheme (NSS) is an active program run by the Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for the development of youth of the nation. Literacy related work, environmental protection, health and sanitation, emergency or natural disaster relief, etc. By studying social work from student life, they develop social service or national service qualities.
