Jaunpur

Jaunpur city is located in the northwestern part of North-Eastern India, Varanasi (formerly Benaras), the state of southeastern Uttar Pradesh. Jaunpur city is spread over both sides of Gomti River. The Shahi Fort and the Atala Mosque of Jaunpur are still beating four-moon in the Shobha. In the Medieval India of Indian History, Jaunpur was famous for its art and architecture. Even today the perfume business is largely here.

History . A temple of Jamdagni is situated even today. It is also said that the foundation of this city was laid in the 14th century by 'Zuna Khaan', which later became known as Muhammad Tughluq and became the sultan of Delhi.
This dynasty has been ruled for 80 years.

Architecture

During this time, the Sharki Sultans built a beautiful building, a fort, a mausoleum and mosques in Jaunpur. The famous 'Atala Mosque' was built in 1408 AD. It is said that instead of this mosque, there was a temple of 'Atla' (or Atala) goddess, which was demolished and its mosque was made with its material. The Temple of Atla Devi was located in the ancient times under the fort called Karkarot. The Jama Masjid was started by Ibrahim Shah in 1438 AD and it was completed in 1442 AD by its Begum Razibavi. Jama Masjid is built on a tall terrace, which has 27 stairs to reach. On entering the southern gate, a Sanskrit text of the 8th century has to be seen, which is reversed. This proves to be the existence of an ancient Hindu temple at this place. The second article is inscribed in Tugra characters. Sikandar Lodi destroyed the eastern gate of the mosque.

In the year 1417 AD, in the place of the ancient Vijay Chandra temple, the Khalis Mukhkhles Mosque (or Four-finger Mosque) was built by the rich Khalis of Sultan Ibrahim. There is no decoration on its doors. A square area behind the main door is covered with flat roof. This ceiling rests on 114 pillars and these columns are configured in ten rows. There is a small black stone on the left side of the main entrance, which according to Januruti, is the only four Angul remains by measuring any man. There was a Chanchakpur or Jhangiri Mosque on the south-eastern corner of the city, whose only one pillar is residual. The mosque of Rajbiwi, wife of Muhammad Shah in famous Begumganj village, is known as 'Lal Darwaza'. [2] Its texture is similar to other mosques in Jaunpur, but its walls are relatively thin and both the central dome The two-chambered small cell is made for women. Near the mosque, he had also built a Khan, a madarasa and a palace and surrounded all the buildings with a curtain and set a red stone gate.

Influence of Hindu style

The map of all the mosques of Jaunpur is often a bit. The four rooms of the open courtyard in which they are built are built in pure Hindu style. The same thing can be said for the inner horoscopes too. The Hindu influence is fully reflected in small square pillars and overlaid crossbones and flat stones on the roofs, but the main entrances of the mosques are completely palatable, which are in typical Muslim style. It seems that the material of ancient Hindu temples was brought in to build these mosques and the craftsmen and producers were also mainly Hindu. That is why the combination of Hindu and Muslim styles has not been completely settled.

The construction work of the Gomti river bridge in Jaunpur was started by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1564 AD. It was completed in 1569 AD. It was built in the inspection of Akbar's Sub-Inspector's account. During the time of the Sharki sultans of Jaunpur and other monuments, the idiot and fanatic Sultan Sikandar Lodi of the Lodi dynasty caused great damage in 1495 AD. By destroying them, they built habitations to live in their courtiers. Ishwarvarman (seventh century AD) from Jaunpur, which was the king of the Mughari dynasty.
